Travel, Tempo, and Fun

Hello Wednesday….
I am traveling this week, and one of the perks is I got to see Miss J while enroute…Isn’t that just the best when travel plans, and friends can be mixed and you get to see someone while traveling. I LOVE it, and J is/ was the best host. We both had some work to get done once I arrived, so we worked, and then enjoyed a fantastic lunch here.

It was so so yummy! I went with the enchilada’s a cheese one and a chicken one- we started of course with chip, and they had 3 different dips for them, we also got my favorite- queso and guac!!! So good! After lunch we took this lovey for a walk, I loved how we are downtown but it still has lots of green areas and parks.
June 17 1After our walk we headed to a gym my friend loves to try a Curved Treadmill class. If you have never run on a Curve treadmill- there is no motor so to speed up you run further forward on the belt, to slow down you run further back, it takes a little getting used to, but it really helps you focus on balance, form, and speed you yourself can generate, I love it. The class ran in 4 cycles, tread’s, floor, tread’s, floor ( or vice versa) and each cycle was 9 min’s, with 2 mins break. It flew by and I love the teachers style, he focused on a lot of independent leg – which as a runner I LOVE!!! If your ever in Dallas, check out this class. I loved it! This photo makes the teacher look like it’s an 80s workout video- I swear he was not ha, and his music was super good and made you want to sweat.

Then it was off to another meal- I seriously could get used to eating all this yummy food. Everything I have had was amazing! Our next stop was dinner here. It was Epic. We got a flat bread, a tempura broccoli, asparagus, and the worlds best Mac and Cheese.
June 17 2They “theme” of the menu was small plates but we 110% did not leave hungry it was so good. The flat bread was fig and goat chesse and just amazing! I need to make it at home ASAP! Of course the company was the best part of the day/ night.
June 17 3  Tonight I am over the moon excited to try this place. It is a little road side “shack” that serves an amazing menu of taco’s. Look how adorable this place looks!

My Sister recently went to Besito Mexican Restaurant – Chestnut Hill. And Loved it! “We had the soup and the salad appetizers as well as what they are famous for their guacamole made at the table. For main I had the pollo asado taco trio and B had the pollo quesadilla. Dessert was tres leches. Hands down amazing everything from atmosphere which is Mexican chic to engaging waiter to authentic Mexican food.” My sister travels the world and goes to many spanish countries so if she say’s the food it good it is good! check out the photo’s she sent me- how badly do you want to eat these dishes!

My friends and I are going to Henrietta’s Table – Charles Hotel on Friday and their dinner options look amazing- especially being a Friday in Lent they have a ton of fish and vegetarian options on their menu. I am excitied to try the Tofu option and the desserts look fantastic as well!
