Happy Birthday PK

Happy Birthday PK!

I am really so lucky to have a dad like mine. He wakes up at 4 am everyday to still provide a fantastic lifestyle for his family, friends, and buddies. Thank you for raising me to be strong, independent, stubborn, and proud. Thank you for teaching me to forgive but not always forget, thank you for teaching me to smile more, and laugh harder. Thank you for teaching me “you can’t take money with you in the coffin” but also how important the value of a dollar is. Thank you for loving me through my messy hair stage in life! I love you more then you will ever know, and I’ll try to remind you more then just once a year. Thank you for being you pookie!

Happy Monday to everyone else? How was your weekend! Hopefully you enjoyed some fun outside, and relaxed a little. I feel like weekends in the summer are always over so quick, but at the same time you can do a lot more, and the moments are longer which I love. I love that you can have no plans on weekends in the summer and then they turn into your most fun memories.

Thanks for inspiring my love for travel

This weekend was one of those, have no plans but go with the flow weekends and it was perfect! It was Father’s day, but my dad, mom, sister and BIL were away so we will celebrate this week instead. This weekend was the perfect “summer weekend” Lobsters, Cocktails, Pools, Sunshine, Cool Breezes and Friends.

A weekend recap in photos 🙂

Eat summer veggies and strawberries from the Farmers market, just don’t forget the doughnuts.

Remind yourself daily how amazing life is. When your brother sends you this photo of his little man, asleep with his great grandmother, you know you are lucky. Life is sweet and simple, when you stop and enjoy its moments.

Happiest of Father’s Days!

Happy Father’s Day PK!

The happiest of father’s day’s to all the dad’s and future dads out there! A very happy Father’s Day to this handsome guy today. Big Jack, Pookie, Daddy, Dr. Bednar, Dad, and Jackie, your one of the best and I still am not sure how I got so lucky to have you as my dad.

Happy Father's Day Dad!

Happy Father’s Day Dad!

Happy Happy father’s day daddy. You are my rock and my hero everyday. We joke that god only gives tough people tough battles but you are a testament to this. You have had your own rocky road, and have always come out on top and pushed through. As a little girl watching you leave the house at 4 am and still making it to my ski races you will never know how much that meant to me. You gave so much of yourself to give to us and I can never thank you enough for that. I watch you do the same thin for A and J now and it is simply amazing. You are truly my rock from little things like finances, to putting me in my place when I need it, to just being there when I need a hug. You have shaped me into the woman I am today and I know all of my hard work, dedication, perseverance, and pride comes from who you taught me to be. My love for a work hard play hard mentality comes from you. The power to forgive and my ability to try and do this daily comes from the actions you have showed me. You have put back the pieces of my heart so many times, from being a little girl, to an adult broken heart, to helping me move forward after my world was shattered and rocked last April. You make me laugh when I watch you and J interact and can only imagine that was what you were like with Chris and Katy at those ages. Thank you for instilling a love for travel, boating, wine, Italian food and family into me. Thank you for teaching me the value of a dollar ( I’m trying to save dad I really am). Thank you for teaching me the importance of a father and his actions. Thank you for encouraging in your own quiet way my love for god and all that he gives us. Thank you for showing me gratitude for all we have, and for showing me to give more when we can. Thank you for teaching me what it means to be a good person at it’s core, a good father, and husband. Thank you for putting me first so many times, and continuing to help me grow and learn.

dad2To another fantastic dad out there, my brother! Chris you truly are an amazing dad, and person, and of course brother! You have so many wonderful qualities from the way you teach A and J to love learning and reading. I love watching how much you care for life and moments more then things. You are a wonderful husband and father, and the kids are so lucky to have you! You teach them the importance of healthy, family, god, learning, and love daily and it is amazing. I love watching you and J in your little moments together, he really is your little mini you! The way you encourage A to be not only a polite, kind and graceful little girl, but how you encourage her to be independent, strong, proud, and honest. She is a true reflection of all the great qualities in you. You are extremely hardworking, dedicated, and passionate about all you do the kids are beyond lucky to have you as their daddy. You show the kids the importance of moments and family even when they are difficult and stressful. Have the happiest father’s day this year, you have so much to be thankful for and so many more fun adventures ahead!
