Life can be a funny thing sometimes, you can be trucking along, loving your lifestyle, and then you change something, a slight minor change and your world can feel shifted/ off kilter/ changed. The change can be good or bad, your feelings can be happy or sad, but something shifts something changes and for better or worse it effects you. Someone is rushing and hurrying and rude to you, how do you react? Do you use the F word? No not that one, do you Forgive them? Do you let their action shape the rest of your day negatively or positively? Do you think they have a battle they are dealing with, or are you quick to think they are just a jerk? Sometimes life just throws you curves and it’s all how you react to them, but I am trying to always just be nicer in every situation. So many people are so unhappy, rude, and downright mean, that maybe my smile can change their day. Let’s start FORGIVING, ourselves, our significant others, strangers and friends!
When life is going according to your plan, shift the focus! It might be your family life, your love life, your job, your friends, whatever it is, if it is off kilter fix it. Focus on something else. Be grateful! You may be unhappy with your job, but remind yourself you have a job! You may see your friends getting married and your single, be grateful you have this time to focus on things you love. Your fitness levels are not improving, be grateful you have legs that are strong and a body that is healthy. Live the life you want, on your own clock not another persons timeline.
Now that it’s summer, it’s a good time to enjoy longer walks, ice cream for dinner, and moments. I know I am always talking about enjoying the moments, but I really do enjoy the little things in life. My grandmother is 92 and as much as a spit fire as anyone I know. I am so lucky to have her in my life and I truly love how she appreciates EVERY. SINGLE. MOMENT! I laugh when I remind her we don’t still live in the depression, but she reminds me how to be grateful for things, little ones like walks and ice cream. She’s adorable right? She has Facebook too, she’s priceless!
We also have another big weekend coming up as little miss A is graduating Pre K this Friday and has her dance recital on Saturday night. I can’t believe my favorite little niece is graduating and heading to Kindergarten this year, it’s insane. She is one of the funnest, smartest, happiest little girls I know. She also speaks Spanish so she’s basically a genius!
In other grateful news, the Urban Raid Boston did a spot light on me, crazy cool huh? I still think there is something so awesome and amazing about people thinking what you have to say is helpful, informative, fun, or interesting! I am also extremely grateful for tough leg work outs, that make me hate hills, but so happy I have a healthy body to push through and conquer them! This week I did a double leg day, and can feel it! We started out with:
Then headed for the Hills! 9 hills, first 6 with 10 burpees at the top of each hill.Back at night was more LEGS! But I did master the single leg squat from a flat position, and worked on some more BALANCE! And how do I survive 20a-days? CORE POWER!
Also I am grateful for sunrises like this, when I really don’t have the energy or desire to get up, but I do, and then get rewarded with a sunrise like this and an awesome work out!
Also don’t forget tonight is the last night of Free CitySports Bootcamps on the Greenway in Boston. Make sure you come out if you live in Boston! Lots of great FREE swag and an amazing work out!
Who are you going to forgive?
Are you going to get your work out on with me tonight?
How are you enjoying moments before they pass too quickly!
