Do you use the F word…ha not not that one!

Life can be a funny thing sometimes, you can be trucking along, loving your lifestyle, and then you change something, a slight minor change and your world can feel shifted/ off kilter/ changed. The change can be good or bad, your feelings can be happy or sad, but something shifts something changes and for better or worse it effects you. Someone is rushing and hurrying and rude to you, how do you react? Do you use the F word? No not that one, do you Forgive them? Do you let their action shape the rest of your day negatively or positively? Do you think they have a battle they are dealing with, or are you quick to think they are just a jerk? Sometimes life just throws you curves and it’s all how you react to them, but I am trying to always just be nicer in every situation. So many people are so unhappy, rude, and downright mean, that maybe my smile can change their day. Let’s start FORGIVING, ourselves, our significant others, strangers and friends!

It's nice to be important. But it's more important to be nice.

It’s nice to be important. But it’s more important to be nice.

When life is going according to your plan, shift the focus! It might be your family life, your love life, your job, your friends, whatever it is, if it is off kilter fix it. Focus on something else. Be grateful! You may be unhappy with your job, but remind yourself you have a job! You may see your friends getting married and your single, be grateful you have this time to focus on things you love. Your fitness levels are not improving, be grateful you have legs that are strong and a body that is healthy. Live the life you want, on your own clock not another persons timeline.

This is your life!

This is your life!

Now that it’s summer, it’s a good time to enjoy longer walks, ice cream for dinner, and moments. I know I am always talking about enjoying the moments, but I really do enjoy the little things in life. My grandmother is 92 and as much as a spit fire as anyone I know. I am so lucky to have her in my life and I truly love how she appreciates EVERY. SINGLE. MOMENT! I laugh when I remind her we don’t still live in the depression, but she reminds me how to be grateful for things, little ones like walks and ice cream. She’s adorable right? She has Facebook too, she’s priceless!

We also have another big weekend coming up as little miss A is graduating Pre K this Friday and has her dance recital on Saturday night. I can’t believe my favorite little niece is graduating and heading to Kindergarten this year, it’s insane. She is one of the funnest, smartest, happiest little girls I know. She also speaks Spanish so she’s basically a genius!

I am also extremely grateful for tough leg work outs, that make me hate hills, but so happy I have a healthy body to push through and conquer them! This week I did a double leg day, and can feel it! We started out with:
Jump Lunges
Donkey Kicks
Burpess
Boy Bands
Frog Jumps
Then headed for the Hills! 9 hills, first 6 with 10 burpees at the top of each hill.Back at night was more LEGS! But I did master the single leg squat from a flat position, and worked on some more BALANCE! And how do I survive 20a-days? CORE POWER!

Also I am grateful for sunrises like this, when I really don’t have the energy or desire to get up, but I do, and then get rewarded with a sunrise like this and an awesome work out!

Happy Wednesday! How has your week been? Have you been getting your goals completed of do you need a mid week rest? As long as you keep reminding yourself of your goals, keep reaching them ( or attempting to) your moving forward!

Yesterday was a legs day for me and holy moly! My legs felt like they might break off and my heart might burst ha but I finished and loved it!

The work out was 25 seconds on 5 seconds off, 4 cycles for each drill:

1. Wall climb, hands on the ground, legs running up the wall.
2. Single leg squats ( 2 cycles each side)
3. Squat jumps with a donkey kick.
4. Wall sits.
5. Plank with legs raised.
6. Box jumps.
7. Rapid fire step ups on one leg ( 2 cycles each leg).
8. Single leg squats with a bench. Fully sit on bench between squats.
9. Weighted dead lifts.
10. Crunches on a ball.
11. 2 mins on the bike, resistance as high as you can and try to burn 20 calories.

Repeat this entire set one more time. Should take around one hour. Then recover with a Core Power

This week is Miss A’s second to last week of school and being the fantastic Auntie I am I let her get whatever snacks she wants in the morning, yesterday’s pick was something “healthy” in her words aka apple juice and a Chocholate chip muffin. I also asked if she was sad about school being over and she told me ” no now I can hang at the pool and boat with NINI ( my mom) and eat ice cream” kids got the life and I love it!

Also on the checking new things out front are you looking for a “healthy ish” treat?!? Try these banana Chocholate covered bites! They sound weird but are amazing and it’s dark Chocholate and fruit so it’s healthy right?!?

Also I finally picked up my racket again and played tennis ( although it looked nothing like my college days!) My goal for this summer is to play once a week! I can’t wait to actually commit to this! And get back into tennis.

And yesterday I took the plunge and signed up for Reach the Beach The only relay race I have done is the Vermont 100 on 100 which is 100 miles on route 100. 6 people to a team and the miles are spread out. So my fall calendar is building! Any advice on this relay?!?
