Thing’s I am loving Wednesday

Happy Wednesday…Did you survive the rain yesterday ( in Boston) it was a downpour! My classes are inside which was nice for me ( recovering from the flu and rainy runs don’t mix!).

Rainy Week In Boston

When it’s rainy, and just plan any random moments I like to refelect on what is making me happy! This morning a nice bowl of oatmeal, honey crystals, and a tea did the trick! Do you love honey, but have a hard time packing it on the go? I love these guys! Speaking of on the go products and things I love, this Justin’s Peanut Butter is my fav! I also am absolutely loving this Kind Bar flavor, tastes like candy!

What are some winter treats you are loving this winter? Speaking of things I love, this song is top of the list. I randomly found it in Itunes and can not stop listening to it! The music video is a little weird, but love the song!

Another thing I am loving is my Tread Tabata Classes have been packed, I love it! The energy and sweat makes me so pumped! I also have been feeling about 75% better so attempted a class myself yesterday, and then another today! Baby progress when your starting to feel better.

How are you spreading the joy this holiday season? How are you enjoying it yourself. I always try and “SLOW DOWN” and enjoy the moments. I have loved getting Christmas gifts for people this year, even the hard to get people ( I went with these, personalized and easy!) and then a few of these personalized calenders! We also have an ELF on the Shelf at my parents house and A and J love him, his name is Ralphie. Tell me how you are enjoying the holidays!

This morning was still a little rainy walking from the subway to the gym, but I got to see the lights over Boston Harbor and enjoy a quiet little walk- so it was a rainy but great start to the day!

Happy Half Way Point to the Week!

Thanksgiving 2014

Happy Thanksgiving!
I hope you had the absolutely best day with family, friends, and enjoyed food and laughs because we sure did! I typically do a turkey trot with friends, however was feeling run down, and friends were all scattered this year, so did a workout at home in the morning and got to enjoy watching the Macy’s Day Parade on TV. Usually I am at the trot and miss this part with my parents and sister so it was so nice to just relax and watch it with them.
I absolutely love all the marching bands, singers and floats, and of course I loved seeing Santa!

Then it was time to start making some pies, I always make the pies and usually the Pecan Pies are my go to and everyone favorites! So I made 4 this year, then added an Apple and a Peach pie in the mix. The Peach was the taste test winner, they are all from scratch and the pie crust recipe was my BIL’s mom’s so it was an all round favorite!

Then the crowds ( our family alone is a crowd ha) started rolling in so we had 10 adults 2 children, one future baby ( January) and a great time. The baby even got a happy birthday baby pie! Baby B we are all excited to meet you! An easy Peach Pie Recipe for you. And Paula Deans Favorite Pie Crust.

Dinner was absolutely fantastic! My dad cooks for about 2 days straight since we are the pickiest eaters around, he makes a pasta, a meat, a veggie, a starch, a gluten free, a you name it option for everyone! For the Gluten Free Stuffing we went with this Trader Joe’s Favorite.

And Always a turkey!

And Always a turkey!

My dad also made some very happy campers in A and J when he brought them home treats from Germany, they were chocolates in little bags, and the bags also had little brooms on them ( for Santa’s helpers to clean the chimney)  J loved this part the best and cleaned the whole whole with his.

Then after dinner and dessert, we moved into the living room and watched ELF! ( round 2 of the day for some of us!) and the kids loved it! I think Elf is my all time favorite movie! We also watched Home Alone and Annie, do it was a fun filled movie day at our house! The best part were the movie snuggles and floor time, it really is what the holidays are all about!

Then this morning ( Friday) I woke up and saw the best sight ever….SNOW! We get our Christmas tree every year ( we cut it down) and it never snows, and it’s snowing today, it was the best thing to see in awhile! I absolutely love the holidays and the holiday’s with snow what could be better!

It's Snowing!

And to jump start a little health back in my day today, I did a kick bum tread tabata! Last Black Friday I got a new treadmill and I absolutely hate the idea of black Friday shopping, but if you need a big item ( for me the treadmill) I do recommend going you get a good buy and save some big $$$. Today’s workout was:
