How is your day starting off on this Veterans Day? I am thankful everyday for all I have but especially on days like this were we are reminded how much our Veterans give for us daily without expecting anything in return. To do a little giving back I went here today to donate. Unfortunately my iron was pretty low, so they could no accept a donation today and asked me to come back next week. They said it has a lot to do with how you eat, protein, and your body that day. So hopefully a few big salad’s and some red meat this week and I can donate next week. Today when I woke up I was reminded how lucky I am to have my freedom when I say this sunrise.
Since it’s Tuesday and I teach Tread Tabata on Tuesday’s I thought I would share today’s workout with you guys. You can come join me for a class, or try this workout on your own. It works in 8 round intervals of 20 seconds on 20 seconds off.
The workout for the treadmill today went 2,4,6,2. Meaning you would do 8 rounds at incline 2 of 20 seconds on 10 seconds rest, then you would head to the floor for upper body, here you would do 8 rounds of upper body then back to the treadmill for incline 4, 8 rounds here, then back to the floor for lower body. Make sense?
Treadmill was 2,4,6,2
Upper: Bicep Curls, Shoulder Presses, Tricep Extensions, Back Row (repeat round).
Lower: Rapid Squats, Pulse Squats, Squat Jacks, Tiny Jump Squats (repeat round)
Cardio: High Knees, Jump Lunges, Burpees, Rapid Punches (repeat round).
ABS: Push Ups, Plank Jacks, Mountain Climbers, Spider Man Planks.
Also walking to work this morning I walked through the Public Garden’s and was reminded how beautiful fall is, and what a great city Boston is. Isn’t the park just stunning in the fall?!?!
Last night I came home, and after having a fantastically happy Monday ( strange when a Monday goes so well right?!?) I came home to this gift from Wine Pug NYC. Seriously the best Monday in awhile. I am as happy as a Seagull with a French Fry kind of Monday.
Don’t you love getting random surprises or treats or cards? It is my absolute favorite. It’s just so nice to know someone is thinking about you, and a hand written note is just the best way to receive a simple hello. Do you send care packages? Notes in the mail? Speaking of note’s I want to read this book. A father is sick with cancer and writes his daughter notes on napkins, it sounds amazing and saddening and beautiful at the same time.
I also got my nails done here on Monday night. I absolutely love the girls here, the prices are good ( $25 for a shellac manicure) and they always are so happy and friendly. If you live in Boston then you probably already go to Lauren’s Nail’s but if not you should, and if visiting check them out. Getting my nails done always makes me feel pretty and girly, and I just love it!
How is your Tuesday going?
How are you enjoying Veterans Day?
