Working out with a Buddy!

Working out with a Buddy, Yes Please!

Do you like working out alone, in a group or with a buddy/ significant other? I grew up playing individual sports so was used to “doing my own thing” when it came to the gym ( aka I didn’t do anything but cardio there) and running ( I ran in a straight line for a long time). But in the past few years I have been working out in a group setting ( Beantown Bootcamp ) and running my runs and especially long runs with awesome running buddies, and it’s amazing the results! This morning I went with my friend onto the track and we did a track work out. I can 110% guarantee neither of us would have pushed it anywhere near as hard if we were not together. I get my speed work form this book and love their plans because they give me target times.

I was reading this blog post today and was super excitied to find this fitness studio ( It’s in Brooklyn NY, I live in Boston, so if you live in NY go for me please! How cool are these guys, twins, and fitness guru’s that do partner style workouts. Now if i can just convince my sister to do this with me!

What do you guys think of these buddy drills? Will you be trying them? I 110% will be trying them. I will also make my family and friends try them, they love when I have them do fun things like this, ha.

Also I might need to start back up with some 2-a-day’s because I have the best dad in the world. My parents had a wedding in Italy this weekend and since I am the fantastic daughter that I am ( ha they may beg to differ but roll with it) my dad brought me home this block of Asiago cheese. Yup you guess it the wedding was in Asiago, so basically you can’t get any better then this. True love right there, thanks dad.

  1. I’m like you where I generally prefer solo workouts, but since I teach group ex, I see the benefits of partner stuff! I have a few partner workouts on my blog that are a fun way to change up your workout. I love the around the world exercise!

    • I know the around the world is impressive right?!?! I will need to check out our partner exercises. Solo is easy but partners deff motivate and push me!
